Located in Svallerup Strand, Denmark, the aptly named Boat House by We Architecture is situated just 20 meters from the water. The designers at WE Architecture envisioned the structure as something that’s both simple and practical at once, built with cedar wood for its ability to withstand the elements, as well as its unique silver-grey patina. Windows were ditched in order to maintain a deliberately minimalist aesthetic made up of a series of clean lines, with the interior featuring an open room with beams and a concrete floor. Shelving and storage compartments allow the structure to be used as space to store boats, fishing gear and bikes, but the Boat House is also a place where guests can sit and enjoy the sunset, and possibly even stay the night.
