Located in the Norwegian village of the same name, Cabin Ustaoset by Jon Danielsen Aarhus MNAL sits 1,066 meters above sea level. The beautifully minimalist cabin is constructed from pine, both inside and out, and because there’s no road access, materials for the build had to be flown in by helicopter. The exterior of the structure was completed during the short summer months, while the interior materials had to be transported via snow scooter during the winter. The groundworks were completed manually, so as to preserve the slow-growing Norwegian vegetation typically found at that altitude.
