Considering the company’s obsession with design, it almost makes sense that Apple has patented a new type of pizza box. The Cupertino tech giant has ditched the desultory cardboard affair with a circular pod, a pizza conveyance technology for which Apple filed a patent back in 2010. It’s built with a shiny white shell made from recycled molded fiber and features eight ventilation holes on the lid, meaning employees can transport their pizzas from the new Apple Park cafe to their work pods without the risk of sogginess from the trapped heat. Built-in ridges also allow for sufficient airflow while making the containers structurally sound. Takeout may never be the same.
