For Spring 2017, the new Tanner Goods Cypress Collection makes use of a material that’s virtually synonymous with lightweight durability: Cordura. The performance textile was originally created by DuPont as a type of Rayon, and its later evolution even involved a stint during WWII as a building block for tires. Nowadays, Cordura is extensively used in outdoor gear, owing in large part to its water repellent and quick drying properties, as well as its resistance to fading, abrasion and mildew. Tanner Goods combined 1000 Denier Coated Cordura Nylon with 18 oz. waxed canvas as the basis for its new Cypress Collection of carryalls, featuring the Wilderness Ruckack, Voyager Daypack and Everyday Tote, as well as Drifter Dopp Kit. Each piece is finished in an appealing olive green shade, accented with vegetable-tanned Cambara English bridle leather and solid brass hardware.
