At this year’s Cannes Festival, the design and motion studio ManvsMachine London earned a gold Design Lion for its “ Air Max – The Art of Negative Space” ad. The win, marking the UK’s only gold Design Lion, comes courtesy of a pastel-hued animation video centered around the Nike Air Max 2017 silhouette. Showcasing a “metaphorical exploration of air and the negative space it occupies,” the spot ran on Instagram, through out-of-home placements Europe-wide, and across Nike’s digital properties globally.
