Billed as a getaway for “urban creatives” and “makers and doers who dream of living off the land,” the retreat offers a chance to recharge one’s batteries while getting in touch with nature. Guests will spend the weekend in handcrafted canvas tent cabins equipped with a toilet, cold water sink and wood stove, but no electricity. Meals are inclusive, prepared by chefs using only organic, local ingredients, and the activities are designed to accommodate varying skill levels. In addition to hands-on workshops — ranging from elemental skills like starting fires to building your own tiny house — attendees will participate in 5k hikes and morning yoga classes. Pricing begins at $450. Farm + Land is offered in New York (the retreat is taking place Sept. 8 – 10), as well as Los Angeles later this fall. San Francisco follows in early 2018.
