Making its grand entrance at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the Infiniti Prototype 9, the brand’s take on a 1940s grand prix race car. Belying its retro good looks, featuring a sleek silver-bullet silhouette made with traditional techniques, the vehicle utilizes Nissan’s electric motor and battery technology. The powertrain includes a 140-horsepower equivalent motor, allowing the prototype to hit 62 mph in 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 105.6 mph. As impressive as those numbers are, it should be noted the car is lacking in range, which is limited to just 20 minutes under heavy track use.
