The president of The FJ Company himself commissioned this vintage 1982 FJ43 Land Cruiser, dubbed the “The Aspen Project.” Intended as a family-friendly vehicle for everyday highway driving, it’s still rugged enough to take on the inhospitable back country of its namesake city. Under the hood is a 4.5-liter inline-six, good for 210 horsepower and mated to an FJ80 Toyota five-speed manual transmission. The full frame-off restoration also features a custom roll cage, power steering, front disc brakes, an Old Man Emu suspension, and Haltech electronic fuel injection. A Warn 8274 winch mounted to the original front bumper, along with a pair of PIAA 7″ LED fog lights, make this a trail-ready specialist.
