JUNCTURE

MV Agusta ‘Ballistic Trident’ Custom by Rough Crafts

As you can see, Winston Yeh and his Taiwan-based Rough Crafts team were up to the task of re-imagining the MV Agusta Brutale 800. The resulting “Ballistic Trident” bike has a distinctive dustbin fairing that Yeh calls “modern dustbin,” featuring a compact profile that turns with the forks. It’s made with carbon fiber and doesn’t even fully cover the front wheel, but the visual effect is certainly impressive, conveying weight to the machine’s front end. The fairing pieces extend down from the fuel tank and help hide the lines of the radiator, while Öhlins FGR forks are attached via custom-made triples, and the custom Beringer brakers have unique front rotors machined to match the wheel design. Finally, Yeh added an HP Corse exhaust, which maintains the MV Agusta’s three exhaust-pipe setup, one that follows the shape of the rear wheel and is exposed by the single-sided swingarm.
