BMW K1100LT Cafe Racer

Hailing from Rome, Giorgio De Angelisa is a computer programmer who builds bikes strictly as a hobby, but you wouldn’t know it by the work he did on this BMW K1100LT cafe racer. Giorgio began by taking the K1100 and stripping off the fairings and all touring components, leaving him with a muscle bike packing nearly 100 RWHP and 80 ft-lbs of torque. Subsequently, the antiquated Showa shock absorber was replaced by an Öhlins monoshock, and a new set of modern upside down forks were installed up front. A new aluminium radiator and a new ECU, fitted and tuned to accommodate the new intakes and sports exhaust, delivered a boost in horsepower. Finally, a paint job instantly familiar to any fan of BMW motorsport was the perfect finishing touch.
