JUNCTURE

BMW S 1000 RR Custom by Motokouture

Generating 199hp, the class-leading BMW S 1000 RR is plenty powerful, but Steven Decaluwe of Belgian workshop Motokouture Motorcycles decided it wasn’t enough. He subsequently installed a Garrett turbocharger with an electronic actuator connected to the ECM, and revised the engine management software and mapping, dropping the compression to 9.2:1. The addition of turbo also required new air intakes, while the fairing was also reworked to allow space for custom exhaust headers that lead to a Spark muffler. Additional revisions include Öhlins front fork, carbon fiber swing arm and BMW HP4 wheels, as well as a custom seat and electronics box. The result? 296hp at the rear wheel, 145 Nm of torque at 9100 RPM, and a top speed limit set at 319 km/h.
