The Blocky by Ohio Design sprang out of a 1998 trip to Marfa, Texas, where founder David Pierce and company traveled to check out the minimalist work of American artist Donald Judd. The Blocky is essentially a sculptural piece constructed from solid wood, featuring a smooth finish in either solid radiate pine or solid carbon. It can function as a nightstand, small end table or rudimentary seat, or it can simply be viewed as a way to bring some nature to your modern home or workplace.
