Featuring a lighter weight build and a lower center of gravity, the Ford GT Competition Series was developed with the hardcore track enthusiast in mind. The various performance upgrades take the form of a Perspex acrylic engine hatch cover with a manual latch and carbon fiber prop rod, a thinner Gorilla Glass bulkhead, standard carbon fiber wheels, titanium exhaust and titanium lugnuts. On the design front, there’s gloss carbon-fiber striping, alongside A-pillars and mirror caps. Under the hood is same 647-horsepower twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 found in the other GTs. This menacing track-focused version will be on display this week at the sidelines of the Daytona 500.
