Debuting at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin is the Honda Rebel + Aviator Nation Motorcycle, inspired by vintage motorcycles from the 1970s. The custom creation celebrates a comprehensive refresh of Honda’s Rebel cruiser, launching in 2017 in 300 cc and 500 cc variations. Aviator Nation founder Paige Mycoskie took a page from the laid-back ’70s surf vibe of her popular lifestyle brand for the collaboration. Glossy black fenders flank the bike, contrasted by a hand-stitched brown leather seat with an embroidered Aviator Nation logo, as well as a gold gas tank reminiscent of vintage sparkle drum sets and guitars, finished with Aviator Nation’s signature 4 stripes in the brand’s signature colors. Custom brown leather grips and round rear view mirrors, alongside a minimalist tail light and caged head lamp, complete the look. The 2017 Honda Rebel 300 & 500 will launch nationwide in late April, while the Aviator Nation edition will be available for purchase through Aviator Nation flagship stores in June.
