When watch engineers are tasked with the goal of transforming an everyday object for spirit aficionados, you end up with the Macallan x URWERK Whiskey Flask. URWERK, known for technically advanced timepieces, applied the brand’s expertise to the common flask, containing two titanium chambers with a 108ml-capacity for each. The vessel is built with a combination of machined aluminium, titanium and stainless steel, with a ridiculous number of parts — more than 150 — going into each unit. Some of those parts are used in the built-in winglets, which create a stand for the flask, as well as cask indicators that enable you to track the cask type and age of the whiskies inside. Production is limited to 500 examples.
