Inspired by BMW’s original adventure bike, the iconic 1980 R 80 G/S, the 2018 BMW R nineT Urban G/S Motorcycle is the latest model in BMW Motorrad’s heritage lineup. It’s powered by a 1,170 cc air/oil-cooled boxer engine that puts out 110 horsepower, and the list of standard features include a 19-inch front wheel, retro headlight fairing with a high front fender and high handlebars. There are also enduro footrests, a one-piece leather seat, painted steel tank, traditional forks with gaiters, ABS and twin front disc brakes. If you’re willing to open up your wallet, you can spring for factory options that include a chromed exhaust ($150), heated grips ($250), and a hand-brushed aluminum tank with visible welds ($850). The 2018 R nineT Urban G/S arrives in dealerships next month with an MSRP of $12,995 (plus a $495.00 destination fee).
