The new BMW X5 M and X6 M Fire editions are marked by a Sapphire Black Metallic paint job, with the menacing shade extending to the carbon-fiber side-mirror caps, black 21-inch forged-alloy wheels, and M-badged kidney grille. The interior takes on color with a two-tone design, featuring black and Mugello Red leather with contrast stitching on the seats, door panels and center console, as well as the underside of the dashboard. There’s also a BMW M Performance alcantara-covered steering wheel, fitted with a light blue leather insert reminiscent of BMW’s motorsport ties. Both special editions pack the standard twin-turbo V-8, good for 567 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. According to BMW, 200 of the cars will be available in the U.S. later this year.
