East Coast Defender “Honey Badger”

The East Coast Defender “Honey Badger” is the newest project from the Florida-based company that’s built a reputation for restomodding Land Rover Defenders in inimitable style. The Honey Badger is fairly unassuming on the outside; aside from the LED lighting, it looks no different from any other Defender 90 you’ll see on the road. Surprises, however, await under hood, where you’ll find an LS3 V8 6.2-liter engine with 430 horsepower — still adorned with Corvette logos from which it was borrowed — that’s connected to a T56 six-speed manual gearbox. The result is an impressive 0-60 mph sprint time of less than six seconds. Additional hardwear upgrades include a Borla exhaust system alongside a new transfer case with a limited slip differential, as well as brake and fuel lines now made from stainless steel. BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2 tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels complete the look. Expect the build cost to start at $159,000.
