In anticipation of the release of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Lexus has unveiled two ads and a behind-the-scenes featurette showcasing its fictional Lexus SKYJET, a spacecraft piloted by the film’s main character Valerian (played by Dane DeHaan). The vehicle, representing a vision of mobility 700 years in the future, is a single-seat pursuit craft, designed in partnership with film studio EuropaCorp. In the film, viewers will see the SKYJET as it navigates through the intergalactic citadel of Alpha, and careful observers will notice the use of contemporary Lexus design cues, including a futuristic adaptation of the brand’s signature spindle grille. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets hits theaters July 21st
