At the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event at Lake Como in Italy, the BMW Concept 8 Series Series will make its highly anticipated first appearance. The coupe is both sleek and aggressive, highlighted by a long hood line fronted by slim laser headlights and a kidney grille. Out back, the trapezoidal exhaust and large rear fender flares temper the elegant design with a bit of attitude, while the L-shaped light housings and carbon fiber diffuser deliver an additional dose of style. Inside the cabin, there are carbon fiber shell sport seats, carbon fiber and polished aluminum trim, and a color scheme using contrasting brown and white leather. An unexpected touch of luxury is seen in the faceted ground gearshift lever and iDrive Controller made from Swarovski glass. The 8 Series coupe is expected to go into production for 2018.
