Based on a 1974 Super Cub C70, the Deus Sea Rider is built for the itinerant surfer, featuring the engine from a 1995 Honda Astrapower (the original 6-horsepower engine was deemed inadequate) alongside vintage bicycle components — like the handlebars and front light — for more of a “bicycle feel.” The Sea Rider was made to traverse the smooth paved roads around Deus' Canggu outpost in Bali, complete with a custom hand-made exhaust and surfboard rack. The leather seat was was sourced from a local shop, and a custom metal frame was cut and welded to form the bicycle-inspired front basket. To keep things lightweight, the team used imported rims from Japan, and any extraneous parts were summarily discarded.
