Considering its pedigree, the BMW Motorrad X2City Electric Scooter should be viewed as a legitimate short-distance commuter vehicle, even if you don’t need a license to operate it (or a helmet, for riders over 14). Not only can the scooter can travel at speeds up to 15 mph, but it’ll give you up to 22 miles on a full charge — numbers that surpass many e-bikes currently on the market. And for city dwellers living in cramped quarters, the X2City is able to fold down for easy space-saving storage. There’s no word to date on pricing, but BMW has already stated that it’ll be no more than $2,850.
